Wedding Day DVD / Video Questions and Answers

The following questions have been compiled to help our customers and are the most frequently asked before booking a Timeless Video videographer.

Q1 Why should I have a DVD of my wedding ?
A1 A DVD captures the emotions, laughter and joy plus many moments of the day that you may miss. It prevents the precious moments from fading by remembering the feelings, sights and sounds of having all of your family and friends celebrating your wedding.

Q2 If I ring Timeless Video to see if a specific date is free, will it be reserved for me ?
A2 Due to demand, dates will only be reserved once a deposit has been received.

Q3 Do I have to have a music sound track throughout the DVD ?
A3 No, music can be edited onto the DVD at the customers request. However music is normally edited onto the DVD during quiet passages i.e. no back ground sound.

Q4 How long does the wedding DVD last ?
A4 As a wedding day can be anything up to 14 hours long, the DVD contains the highlights and memorable parts of the day. The DVD is usually between 1 and 1.25 hours long. Additional DVDs can be requested at no extra cost, which cover whole parts of the day rather than edited versions e.g. all the speeches in full.

Q5 How long does it take to edit the video material and put onto DVD ?
A5 The editing can take between 30 and 60 hours.

Q6 How long will it be before I receive my finished DVD ?
A6 Depending on the time of year between 2 and 8 weeks.

Q7 What equipment do you use ?
A7 We use the latest Sony HVR-V1E cameras, plus Sony PD170 and Sony HDR- HC1E as a back up cameras. All are the industry standard for wedding DVDs.

Q8 What is the difference between a Timeless Video DVD, and one costing over £1000 ?
A8 From customer feedback and testimonials, there is no difference. Please ask for a demo disk of wedding highlights to see the quality.

Q9 Will your DVD be compatible with my player ?
A9 We use top of the range DVD-R disks that are the recognised standard to ensure maximum compatibility.

Q10 Do I have to obtain copyright licenses for the DVD music ?
A10 Timeless Video arranges the necessary PPL and MCPS music licenses at no extra cost. However some Church of England vicars charge for filming, therefore customers should inform the church that the wedding is being filmed and will need to cover any costs.

Q11 How do the videographers dress at the wedding ?
A11 They dress smartly with shirt and tie.

Q12 Do you use more than one camera ?
A12 Yes, multiple cameras are used at each wedding to capture various angles of key shots.

Q13 How will the videographer pick up the Bride and Grooms voices during the service ?
A13 Timeless Video use a wireless microphone placed discreetly on the groom.

Q14 My grand parents only have a video player, can I have a video ?
A14 Yes, this is not a problem.

Q15 Will you come to our wedding rehearsal ?
A15 Yes, we do not like to leave any detail to chance, and this is included in the price.

Q16 Do you film until midnight ?
A16 No. In our professional experience there is little value in filming after the first two dances. We can work until 22.00 for an additional fee.

Q17 What happens if I loose my DVD in the future ?
A17 Timeless Video keep a master copy so additional copies can be purchased in the future.

Q18 What happens if one of the videographers is ill ?
A18 We have a network of videographers to call in an emergency and can cover attendance at your wedding.
